The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute surprises and upsets. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Capitanes (20-6) in Arecibo on Wednesday night. Hosts were edged by Criollos (15-10) 102-100. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Capitanes. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Caguas looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Travis Trice II (183-1993, college: Michigan St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 assists. His fellow American import swingman Onzie Branch (201-1991, college: Gardner-Webb) contributed with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Nigerian-American center Jahlil Okafor (211-1995, college: Duke) answered with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for Arecibo. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
